Case Study 1 – Mining asset turn around

A multinational mining, resources and construction conglomerate bought an Australian mining asset from administrators with the objective of boosting its production and export capacity. Their new assets came with serious legacy issues, including hostile political and media environments, which threatened to undermine its business. TBH Niche assembled a government relations and media team that has turned around the negative sentiment towards our client and its assets. Now government and the community are working with our clients to help achieve their plans for growth.

Case Study 2 – Political intelligence & research

An industry peak body required an understanding of how the decisions of the Australian Government could impact its domestic and export markets. They were also concerned that changes to Cabinet could foster instability in their members’ businesses. TBH Niche conducted an analysis of several public policy proposals that could impact our clients and presented a comprehensive options paper, along with our assessments on the likelihood of each based. This mapped the prevailing political and economic climate and then strategically guided engagement with government.

Case Study 3 – Adverse legislation campaign

A number of small businesses stood to lose through a change in the legislation regulating their industry. Without the quick intervention of TBH Niche, a number would have gone to the wall. Our clients used our research and strategy to negotiate favourable changes in the proposals so that their businesses were able to manage the inevitable change in public policy, but without losing their ability to compete within the new legislative framework. The outcome was a fairer set of regulations that were in the best interests of all Western Australians.
